St. Irenaeus: Blessing of Spiritual Discernment & Joy

Message from St. Irenaeus to The Little Apostle On 07/04/25

LITTLE APOSTLE:
St Irenaeus was sent to me by Our Lord with a message from Heaven. As always, he appeared in the radiant light God grants me when the saints visit. First he dictated the message; then I saw him lift his head toward Heaven and raise his hands in loving intercession. Through that prayer the Lord imparted His Blessing of Spiritual Discernment to all who will read these words.

ST. IRENAEUS:
Dear children, beloved of Christ,

In this New World of the New Covenant—begun by Christ’s Death and Resurrection, in which the Father has united all things under Christ, the new Head—grace is offered to every person, though it is fully received only by those reborn in Baptism.

Many will one day wish they had recognised Christ’s call sooner and served His beloved Church on earth.

When your soul comes to its particular judgment before Christ, the devil may present accusations; yet your conscience, enlightened by grace, will see the truth with perfect clarity.

You will remember how his lies ensnared you and how you failed to distinguish them from the genuine inspirations of the Holy Spirit.

Every truly good and uplifting thought is prompted by the Lord and flows from His boundless love. I urge you, from this moment on, to guard your thoughts vigilantly.

Therefore, today I bestow upon you the Blessing of Spiritual Discernment and of Joy:

Receive now Christ’s grace—to discern spirits, to reject every deceiving or negative thought contrary to God’s love, and to cultivate ever more joyful and righteous thoughts.

May these words—blessing and wisdom flowing from the Heart of our good Lord—shield your minds from “the spirits of the air”, those lower spirits that suppress, depress, and oppress, so that you may remain free and joyful followers of the Way, living in the glory of Jesus Christ, who sets all free with His truth, beauty, grace, and love.

Remain in His peace!
