St Thérèse & the Little Way of Holy Poverty
Message from St. Thérèse of Lisieux to The Little Apostle On 05/15/25
Little Apostle:
Thank you, dear St. Thérèse, for your visitation. It is sometimes hard to trust in God’s providence when things seem stalled and struggles multiply. I know I must not worry, for God provides for every need. I feel powerless over my circumstances. As I strive to advance God’s plan for this apostolate, difficulties increase around me. The enemy assails my family seeking to wound me—yet I will never abandon the Lord’s desire for my life nor cease serving His beloved children.
St. Thérèse:
Little One,
Remember that Our Lord already knows your heart. Take courage, dear: this trial shall pass, and God is already preparing friends of His heart to support you in this mission.
Endure this trial and this spiritual suffering, and continue to offer them in union with Our Lord’s Passion.
He permits it both for your growth in holiness and for the salvation of souls.
You are united with our Lord, and in His goodness He desires your health and welfare.
He allows you to share in His sorrow for the hardness of heart in the world and for those who live in poverty while others hoard wealth without compassion.
Jesus is sorrowful not only by those who amass riches but by those who, having received much in talents and grace, fail to be generous.
Generosity is required of every person, for God has given each of His children means—whether small or great—to share His blessings.
Everyone must look upon the poor with compassion and give according to their ability. How abundant will be their reward in heaven! On earth, you are your brothers’ and sisters’ keepers, responsible for one another’s welfare.
Farewell, dear child. I’m carrying your prayers to our God. Remain in peace, knowing He will provide for you and your family.
